He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Gryder and Muriel Redick Gryder; and his brother William F. Gryder Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Poole Gryder; his daughters, Cheryl Gryder Fox (Danny) and Deborah Gryder Parsons (Fred); his grandchildren, Trevor Fox (Sarah), Danielle Ashworth (Tyler), Sarah Young (Jeb), Lindsey Parsons and Brandon Parsons; his great grandchildren, Ava, Kinsley Fox, Wyatt Ashworth and Brian Farmer; Michael Farmer.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Woodland Cemetery (819 E Sycamore St, Chase City, VA 23924).
