We bid farewell to Wayne D. Blankenship of Chase City, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 15, 2025 at the age of 85. Wayne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dellie Blankenship and Lucille Blankenship; and his wife LaVerne Blankenship. He is survived by: his children, Donna Coleman (Raymond), Trudy Baugh (Tom) and Mitch Blankenship (Kerry); his sister Mary Ann Chisholm; his grandchildren, Stephanie Inge and Christopher Coleman (Tammy); his great grandchildren, Aiden Coleman, Dylan Coleman, Sydney Inge and Jessa Inge; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Lamb, Sybil Robertson and Margie Williamson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Wood Funeral Service Chapel (28868 VA-49, Chase City, VA 23924). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
