She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Hasful Clyde Crowder and Georgia Collins Crowder; and her husband Rev. Stephen Wayne Byrd. She is survived by: her children, Jamieson Todd Byrd (Gwen Estep) and Lori Elizabeth Hale (David) of Fishersville; her sister Joan Merricks of Danville; her brother-in-law Barry Merricks of Danville; her grandchildren, Elijah Jamieson Byrd, Baylee Farren Byrd-Roberts, Hayden Paul Scolpini and Bella Marie Hale; her nephews, Jason Merricks (Hope) and Justin Merricks; and her great-nieces, Alice Merricks and Sarah Merricks.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Java COGOP Stephen Byrd Memorial Fund in care of Edward Pope, P.O. Box 16, Java, Virginia 24565.
