We are sad to announce that on June 1, 2025, at the age of 93, Carroll William Bumgarner (Chatham, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Georgie, Ellen, Hazel, Beth, Sue, Joy, Charley and Tom; and his parents, Charles Bumgarner and Annie Bumgarner.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lee Shelton Bumgarner; his children, Melody Van Der (Mark), Kirk Bumgarner (Sonya) of Lincolnton, NC and Lee Shelton Bumgarner of Chatham, VA.; and his great grandchildren, Amelia, Elias, Ari, Ashleigh, Elvis and Allie Mae. He is also survived by father to his family.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Services & Crematory - Chatham Chapel (147 S Main St, Chatham, VA 24531). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mill Creek Community Church (3720 Chalk Level Rd, Chatham, VA 24531).
