She is survived by: her children, Carlton W. Gilbert of Bowie, Eleanor E. Bryant (Donald) of Winston Salem, Dorisena Pickens (James Pickens, Sr.) of Rural Hall, Rochelle Smithson (Richard) of Glen Allen, Millicent G. Fitzgerald of Danville and Deldra Wright of Glen Allen, Virginia; her grandchildren, Jermaine Bryant (Patricia), Christopher Bryant, James Pickens, Jr. (Crystal), Ashley Smithson, Morgan Fitzgerald, Cherelle Gilbert, Cameron Gilbert, Courtney Wright and Zachary Wright; her great grandchildren, Jermaine Bryant, Jr., Breanna Little (Camren), Houston Springs and Ava Gilbert; and her brother-in-law Robert L. Gilbert (Sandra). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home (668 Zion Rd, Gretna, VA 24557). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at the Cherrystone Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery (19388 US-29, Chatham, VA 24531).
