He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarance D. Cooke and Edna Odella Jefferson Cooke; his former life partner Brenda Newcomb Cooke; and his brother Michael Cooke. He is survived by : his wife Shirley Hensley Cooke; his children, Jason Cooke of Altavista and Jill Tibbs of Altavista; his brother C. D. Cooke (Jewel) of Chatham; his granddaughter Trinity Tibbs of Altavista; his stepdaughter Penny Williams (Jesse); and also, Joey Williams and Ben Williams. He is also survived by two nephews and cousins.
