It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Diana Lawrence Wimmer of Check, Virginia, who passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Earl and Audrey Bea Carr Lawrence of Terry's Fork; her husband Wesley of Wimmer's Store; and her siblings, Stanley Bea Harmon, June James, Jarrette "Pinky" Jinnett and Clay Lawrence.
She is survived by: her sons, Lyle (Jean Wimmer) and Rene' (Susan Wimmer); her grandchildren, Adam Wimmer (Lisa), Katie Spencer (Tom), Kayla Wimmer and Dylan Wimmer (Hannah); her great grandchildren, Berkley Wimmer, Grant Wimmer, Benjamin Spencer and Hattie Wimmer; and her sister-in-law Marie June Wimmer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and her church family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Diana Wimmer may be made to Haven's Chapel UMC or Good Samaritan Hospice.
