He was predeceased by: his father John E. Maddox; his stepmother Beulah S. Maddox; his sister Karen M. Dennis; and his stepbrother Gilbert O. Maddox. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn T. Maddox; his daughters, Veronica Buckovich (John) and Melody Snelson (Jon); and his grandchildren, J. B. Snelson (Lauren), Joseph Snelson (Claire), Lucas Buckovich (Morgan), Matthew Buckovich (Kate), Macie Vance (Christian) and Mariah Snelson. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
