It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alan Russell Reese (Chesapeake, Virginia), born in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 13, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Reese and Sarah Reese Pangburn (Shiffert). He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Christine Mitchell (Ron), Melanie Cantrell (Chris) and Jason Reese (Joanna); and his siblings, Wendell Reese and Kathryn Thompson (Homer "Tom"). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
His last faint smile and final look to Joyce, his bride of 58 years, gave us all the comfort that the Lord was ready to free him from his years of Parkinson's and recent 3-week diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
