He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Giorgina Vendt; his sons, Alfred S. Vendt, III (Deb), Nick Vendt (Debbi), David Vendt and Shan Vendt (Jennifer); and his siblings, Ronald Vendt and Kimon Vendt. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
