He is survived by: his cousin Allen Monroe Nixon; his wife Arlene Nixon; his children, Allen Baskerville, La'Varr Barron, Bryan Simons (Tanisha), Hamilton Rountree, Lewis Rountree, Jr. and Miranda Rountree; his siblings, Danny Nixon (Doris), Antonio Fuller (Lakeesha), Gloria Williams (Garland), Gail Taylor (Keith), Jaye Vaughan (Greg), Debbie Lawton (Thaddeus), Lola Fuller-Rashad and Tonya Fuller-Stevens; his aunt Lillie Harvin; his father-in-law Joseph Lewis, Sr.; and his siblings-in-law, Valerie Davis, Brenda Davis, Andrea Saunders (Ray), Joseph Lewis, Jr. and Kelvin Dozier. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, his special friends, "guys from the hole", other relatives and friends.
