Hatten Jr. Pikesville, MD (Evelyn), Gentry L. Hatten (Rosemary) and Tamesha Hatten Saunders Portsmouth; his grandchildren, Margery L. Davis (Steven) of Portsmouth, VA., Nykeeya Stewart (Winston), Ryan Hatten, Jessica McGlothen (Roosevelt) and Jeffery Hatten (Jasmaine); his stepgrandsons, Andre Sherrill and Thomas Sherrill; his great grandchildren, Keonte Jones, Aaliyah Hatten, Faith Stewart, Gabriella Williams, Olivia McGlothen, Romaine McLean and Julia Truitt Spivey; his goddaughter Rev. Joy Carrington; and his close friends, Angela Copeland, Yolanda Stoner, Cassandra Haynesworth, Ophelia Leigh, Debbie Brown Cooper, Romero, Thressa Bullock, Billy Thompson and Kenny Reynolds. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
