He is survived by: his granddaughter Stephanie Blount (Drayton); his son-in-law Jim Bilsborough; his grandchildren, Stephi, Stephen and Xander Curtis; his sister-in-law Jeannette Foist; his nephew John Jr. (Lori); his sister-in-law Linda (Marvin Carawan); his sibling's children, Shannon and Bubba; and his friend Leroy Wilson.
