It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Fager Darden (Chesapeake, Virginia), who passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Barbara Fager Darden; her brothers, William B. Fager and Wesley M. Fager; her husband Franklin Allen Darden; her children, Jeffrey Allen Darden, Gregory Scott Darden and Michelle Darden Simmonds; her brothers, Wayne (Carolyn Fager), Keith (Grace Fager) and Scott (Pam Fager); and also Kay Fager. She was also cherished by Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.

We all loved the early years of that school as we were the first class to enjoy all four years at the brand new school. We started many of the traditions for the school. Barbara worked in the community by her work with civic clubs and community activities. She was always ready to serve any way she could.”
