It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Kay Smith of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Barnhart and Ann Barnhart; her husband John W. Smith; her sister Joretta Watts; and her cousin Robert Barnhart.
She is survived by: her children, Christopher J. Smith (Kelly), Dale R. Smith and Valerie Dembrak (Michael); her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Stephen, Emily, Carley, John and Hailey; and her sister Johnna Dail (Earl). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
