Bertrand Conrad Bilodeau Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 22, 2023, at the age of 83, Bertrand Conrad Bilodeau (Chesapeake, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Bert was born to Conrad and Mabel Bilodeau, November 1, 1940 in Lewiston, Maine. He graduated from Cony High School before enlisting in the US Navy and served on the USS Intrepid. Bert married Laurita Bilodeau on May 27, 1984 in Westerly, Rhode Island. He had a successful insurance career; 25 years with John Hancock before retiring as an Independent Broker.

Bert never met a stranger. His active lifestyle included a love of tennis, riding his motorcycle, dancing, listening to his music, camping, spending time with family and friends and let’s not forget his love for plaid.

Preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Mabel Bilodeau; son, Robert Bilodeau; grandson, Justin Wathen; sister, Doris Laverdiere (Raymond); and brother, Robert Bilodeau (Germaine).

Bert is survived by his wife, Rita Bilodeau of Chesapeake, VA; son, Bertrand Bilodeau, Jr. (Kristal) of Raven, VA; daughter, Robyn Hilbert (George) of Chesapeake, VA; daughter, Susan Henry (George) of Goodlettsville, TN; sister, Patricia Beaudoin (Paul) of Augusta, ME; sister, Cecile Charest (Maurice); of Augusta, ME; grandchildren: Emily Trzcinski (Martin), Madyson Jorgensen (Brennon, Hannah Tanega; great grandchildren, Zander Johnson, Jasmine Johnson, Mia Trzcinski; many nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 1:00 pm at St. Stephen, Martyr Catholic Church, Chesapeake, Virginia.
