She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Jasper and Cassie Lena Ellington; her husband Henry Clay Showers; her son Michael C. Foster; and her grandchildren, Dana Marie Foster, Cristy Lynn Foster and William H. "Bubba" Pate, III.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas T. Foster Jr. (Diana), Kimberly F. Pate (William H. "Lucky") and Kelly Ann Armstrong; her grandchildren, Sean Michael Foster (Joni), Cassie Lynn Foster, Michael Simon, Lauren Marie Foster and Nathaniel Ryan Pate (Stephanie); and her great grandchildren, Liam Bradley Foster and Hollis Jennifer Pate.
