She was predeceased by: her parents, Osborn Etheridge and Melonee Etheridge; and her brother William "Billy" Crosby. She is survived by: her husband Samuel E. Beale; her daughters, Sandy Arnold, Cathy Midgette, Brenda McFerrin and Linda Westscott; her sister Sondra Martin; and her grandchildren, Melonee Douglas (McFerrin), Tabitha Darnell (Spruill), Danielle Padula (McFerrin), Brandi Larson (Spruill), Drew Midgette and Ryan Midgette.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Horton Wreath Society, P.O. Box 6246, Virginia Beach, VA 23456-0246.
