He was predeceased by: his stepfather Charles "Buster Baker. He is survived by: his children, Bobby J. Ward, Jr. (Shanta) and Julia Ward-Smith; his grandchildren, Ishman, Malik, Byron, Destiny and Anissa; his sisters, Marchitta Martin (Mike), Yvette Baker, Carla Barco and Kelly Powell (Rick); his aunt Queen Esther Wallace; his close friend Pam; and his extended family, DaLisa (Jonathan), Destiny, Christopher, William (Trae), Lamonte, Brieya, Kaelyn and Ava. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
