It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Brenda Cruey Hodsdon (Chesapeake, Virginia), born in Cedar Bluff, Virginia, who passed away on August 8, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha Cruey and Edward Cruey. She is survived by: her husband Richard Hodsdon; her daughters, Beth Gale (Pete), Hope Booth and Fran Kirby (Brad); her grandchildren, Samantha Honaker (Patrick), Jackson Booth, Anna Gale, PJ Gale, Morgan Moulton and Logan Moulton; and her siblings, Tommy Cruey, Jerry Cruey, Kathy Smith and Ervin Cruey. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Oaklette United Methodist Church in her memory.
