With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Brenda Joyce Ward of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Portsmouth, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Carroll Ward; her parents, Robert Randolph and Mary McLain Randolph; her sister Barbara Randolph Woodell; and her nephew Eddie Latham.
She is survived by: her children, Deanna Wilson (Lance), Timmy Ward (Shelley Prescott) and Chris Ward (Melissa Harrison); her grandchildren, Kyle Wilson (Morgan), Courtney Wilson (Scotty Capps), Miranda Ward, Trevor Ward, Ethan Ward and Chazz Stukes (Rossyln); her great grandchildren, Wren Capps and Levi Wilson; and her sisters, Jerry Randolph Potorski (Ski), Patricia Randolph Knepper (Eric), Ginger Randolph Latham (Lander) and Maria Randolph Anderson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sturtevant Funeral Home (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A reception will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 11:45 AM at 5100 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701.
