It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carrie S. Deason in Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Shiloh, North Carolina, who passed away on July 17, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Marlon Poe Deason; her parents, Mary Staples and Gideon Staples; and her sister Doris McMullen. She is survived by: her children, Diane Markham (Dennis) and Carroll "Rick" Markham (Cherylin); her stepsons, Marlon Deason (Jennifer), Joseph Deason (Stella) and Marcus Deason; and her grandchildren, Kasey Peters, Kyle Markham (Chelsea) and Carolyn Irwin (Steve). She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
