He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Hooks and Cindy Hooks; his spouse Jean Durham Hooks; and his sister Christine Vick. He is survived by: his daughter Teressa Barber (Barry Barber) of Chesapeake, VA.; his grandchildren, Crystal Steffey (Randy Steffey) and Casey Barber; his great grandchildren, Charles Lane Steffey and Madison Steffey; his nieces, Bonnie Vick and Connie Ioanou; and his nephew Tommy Vick.
He was a devoted member of his church, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Indian River Baptist Church, at 1600 Laurel Avenue, Chesapeake, VA 23325.
