She was predeceased by: her father Edward Ernest; and her brother Ronald Walker. She is survived by: her pet Robinson; her husband Irvin L. Askew, Sr.; her sisters, Gracie Bowens (Gordon) of Easley and Jean Robinson McMorris of Easley; her siblings' children, Andrea Candace Gregory (Donald) of Georgia, Kimberly Austin (John) of South Carolina, Pamela Bowens of South Carolina, Andrew McMorris (Pamela) of New Jersey, Michael McMorris (Myra) of South Carolina and Edward McMorris of South Carolina; her godson Vincent D. Carpenter; her son Terry "Beechdale" Porter of Chesapeake; her sister Jessie Haynes of Atlanta; and her nephews, Irvin Askew, Jr. of Chesapeake and Irvin Lamont Smith of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
