He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Hammond and Viola Underwood Hammond; his wife Kay Lynn Hammond; and his brothers, Samuel and Patrick Hammond.
He is survived by: his sons, William "Bill" Hammond (Susan) and Robert "Bob" Hammond (Cindy); his granddaughters, Nicole, Heather, Paige and Megan; and his great grandchildren, Avery, Everett, Aaron, Amber, Zara, Yasmine and Saoirse.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to Meals on Wheels, a charity he and his wife served for many years.
