David Yates Ellis Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Yates Ellis of Chesapeake, Virginia, who passed away on January 15, 2023 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Ellis and Virginia Benton; and his brother Harry Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Lou Ellis; his daughter Julie Duncan; his son-in-law Jacob Duncan; his granddaughters, Lily and Charlotte; his siblings, Sandra Babb and Bobby Ellis (Mary Parker); and his siblings-in-law, Linda Wakefield (Mike), Patti Turner (Jesse), Janice Chace (Andy) and Marion Parris (Jeannie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
