We are sad to announce that on June 1, 2025, at the age of 66, Debra Cooksey of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Norfolk, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Debra find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Mason and Elizabeth Mason; and her brothers, Ronnie and Butch Mason. She is survived by: her husband William "Buddy" Cooksey; her children, William "Travis" Cooksey and Ashley Fernandez; her son-in-law Armando Fernandez; her grandchildren, Travis "Aidan" Cooksey, Brayden Fernandez, Logan Fernandez and Taylor Newton; and her sister Mary "Sissie" Blake.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Inc. (1416 Cedar Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23322).
