With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Anne Sharber (Chesapeake, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 29, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Doris Anne may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Olds Frost and Clarence Edward Frost. She is survived by: her sons, Gary Beedie (Lynne Brickhouse) of South Mills, NC and William Beedie of Newland, NC.; her grandchildren, Laura B. Blanton (Josh) of Hampstead, NC and Matthew B. Beedie (Joy) of Winton, NC; and her great grandchildren, Harper, Edie and Frannie Blanton of Hampstead, NC..

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel (524 Cedar Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23322). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
