She was predeceased by: her parents, Miles James McDonald and Blanche Stevenson McDonald; her husband Lancy Wade Mayo; and her siblings, Ann McDonald Gregory (Johnie) and Miles Warren McDonald (Nancy).

She is survived by: her sons, Michael Wade Mayo (Carol) of Chesapeake and Steven Anthony Mayo (Jenny) of Laurinburg, NC; her grandsons, Justin Mayo, Dillon Mayo (Audrey) and Jeff Mayo; her great grandchild Gwyneth Mayo; and her sister Jennifer McDonald Hughes (Carroll).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Centerville Baptist Church in her honor.
