She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Kowalski and Martha Kowalski; her husband Otis Lee Lewis, Jr.; and her sister Katherine Crawford. She is survived by: her children, Marcia L. Cooper of Suffolk, Stephen L. Lewis of Chesapeake and Teresa L.; her sister Charlotte Sugg (Terry) of Williamsburg; and her grandchildren, Jeff, Joseph (Heather), Meghan, Jonah, Sophie, Hailey, Selah Mae and JJ. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Portsmouth Humane Society in her memory.
