With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Scott Forbes (Chesapeake, Virginia), born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on March 7, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles A. Scott and Sarah Oakley Scott; and her husband Howard Ray Forbes, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Forbes (Debbie), Karen Padgett (Michael), Howard Forbes (Valarie) and Deborah Bailey (Barry); her grandchildren, Christie Bernick (Justin), Jennifer Beasley (Brian), Lori Padgett, Corey Bailey, Kara Copley (KC), Maranda Forbes, Kelly Bailey and Kady Bailey; and her great grandchildren, Charlotte, Daphne, Gavin, Jane, Will, Noah, Nash and Somer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Union Mission Ministries.
