It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth P. Hickey (Chesapeake, Virginia), who passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John M. Nickey; and her son-in-law Mac McMahan. She is survived by: her daughters, Beth Leonard (Frank) and Cathy McMahan; her grandchildren, Eric McMahan (Brandi), Jason McMahan (Megan), Keith Leonard (Tammy), Elizabeth Clemons and Matt Leonard; and her great grandchildren, Austin, Luke, Brooke, Riley, Max, Reese, Ethan, Tyler and Reagan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Woodland Heights Baptist Church (529 Providence Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23325). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:45 PM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Riverside Memorial Park (1000 E Indian River Rd, Norfolk, VA 23523).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Woodland Height Baptist Church designated for Capital Funds or FARA, Friedreich's Ataxia Research Association.
