She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Antonio DiMattia and Maria DiMattia; her sister Margaret Melligan of Pennsylvania; and her daughter Nancy Pond (Gary) of Florida.

She cherished the friendships she developed while knitting for charity with her knitting group, affectionately known as the Knittin' Nannies.
