She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Snowden and Levin Snowden; and her siblings, Vernon Snowden, Doll Baby and Mary Snowden.
She is survived by: her husband Preston; her children, Sylvia Toby-James (Darrell) of Williamsburg, VA, Phyllis Phillips of Virginia Beach, VA and George Phillips of Chesapeake, VA; and her sister Josephine Snowden of Chesapeake, VA. She is also survived by 10 grandkids, 35 great grandkids, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and Friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gabriel Chapel AME Zion Church. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Roosevelt Memorial Park (1101 Campostella Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23320).
