Evelyn Resposo Taguba Almachar Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evelyn Resposo Taguba Almachar (Chesapeake, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2025 at the age of 88. She is survived by: her husband Nonato Aquino Almachar; her children, Leahmarie Almachar Gottlieb, Geraldinelee Almachar Curtin (Stephen Curtin) and Elmer Almachar (Shoshannah Cohen); and her grandsons, Phillip Gottlieb and Aiden Curtin. She is also survived by relatives and friends.

A dedicated registered nurse, Evelyn made significant contributions to the healthcare field, serving as Head Nurse at the Portsmouth Health Department, and working diligently as a Home Health Nurse and Dialysis Nurse.
