We announce the death of Fredrick Tyson Carter (Chesapeake, Virginia), born in Eatonton, Georgia, who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 86. Fredrick will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Carter and Alma Carter; his wife Carloyn J. Carter; and his brother Austin Carter. He is survived by: his children, Connie Rawls (Ricky), Fredrick Carter and Valerie Beary (Steve); and his grandchildren, Richard, Kandace, Alyssa, Tyson, Josh, Stephanie and Cameron. He is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake Chapel (929 S Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23322).
