It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Genevieve Braught Barnes of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Torrington, Connecticut, who passed away on September 6, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey J Braught and Maria J. Kiemle Braught; and her brother Harvey David Braught of Keene, NH. She is survived by: her daughter Julienne B Griffin of Virginia Beach; and her grandchildren, Darrell B Griffin of Powhatan, VA, David H Griffin and Chrissy L Thomas of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
