We are sad to announce that, on January 28, 2022, at the age of 86, Golethia Smith (Chesapeake, Virginia), born in Currituck, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Marvin Burton and Cora Lindsey Burton; her husband Roy T. Smith Sr.; her daughter Valerie Bynum; and her grandson Derrick Wilson.

She is survived by: her children, Golethia Burton Smith, Cora Freeman (Ray), Cheryl Smith, Wanda Smith and Roy T. Smith Jr.; her grandchildren, Anthony Wilson (Monique), Myron Smith (Patricia), Roxy Powell, Shanica Smith, Ranese Carroll (Sidney) and Thea Smith; her great grandchildren, Kailan Wilson, Kyra Wilson, Samaria Jones, Gabrielle Freeman Jones and Raegan Carroll; her great great grandchild Jekhani Vaughan; and her close friends, MaeDella Perry and Reggie Allen. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
