It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendolyn Irene Wilson in Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Gwendolyn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gwendolyn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Sylvester and Irene Sylvester. She is survived by: her husband Gary Wilson; and her children, Erin Filkins, April Phelps and Kam Phelps. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
