It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hamilton R. Dwyer Jr. of Chesapeake, Virginia, who passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hamilton Russell Dwyer and Margaret Lindars Dwyer; and his sisters, Theresa Petrill and Margaret Bradley. He is survived by: his wife Ann Balsamo Dwyer; his children, Anna Blencowe (Joseph), Russ Dwyer (Adelina) and Susan Sanderson (Doug); his grandchildren, Hamilton, Maria Dwyer, Ruthanne, William Sanderson, Sophia and Joshua Blencowe; his siblings, Patricia Dwyer (Peg) and Arthur Dwyer; and his brother-in-law Paul Petrill (Gordon Bradley). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
