Helena Murphy Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helena Murphy (Chesapeake, Virginia), born in Danville, Virginia, who passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Rex A. Murphy; her parents, Theodore Thomason and Lillian Thomason; her siblings, June Schwartz, Neil Thomason and Jimmy Thomason; her daughters, Kimberly Sanford of Alpharetta, GA and Karen d'Autremont of Maui, HI; and her brother Brian L. Thomason of Danville, VA.. She was also cherished by her five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kathleen's name to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to her giving spirit and commitment to helping others.
