Garris of Chesapeake, VA; his sons, James A. Garris, Jr. and Jalen L. Garris of Temple Hills, MD; his grandsons, Jace A. Garris, Johntae Wallace of Upper Marlboro, MD and D'Essence Fowler of Fayetteville, NC; his niece Joanna Walker of Boston, MA; his siblings, Anna L. Hill (James) of Virginia Beach, VA, Dr. Lonnie Garris, Jr. of New Haven, CT and Robert Garris, Sr. of Chesapeake, VA; his mother-in-law Genevie Williams of Chesapeake, VA; and his siblings-in-law, Diana L. Williams, Melanie Williams Brown of Chesapeake, VA and Alexander C. Williams (Jodi) of Huntsville, AL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
