He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James C. Wilkins and Nellie Bignall Taylor; his children, Jami Wilkins of Shiloh and James Wilkins (Shelley) of Durham, NC; his brothers, Jerry Wilkins and Jack Wilkins; his half-sister Carol Venlet; his grandchildren, Olivia Wilkins and Isla Wilkins; his sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Young and Linda Primaky of Elizabeth City; his niece Jenny Spivey; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kevin and Aubree. He was also cherished by child and grandchildren.
