We are sad to announce that on December 21, 2024, at the age of 79, Jo Ann Mercer (Chesapeake, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil L. Mercer and Lillian Wrenn Mercer. She is survived by: her brother Thomas L. Mercer, Sr. (Susan); her nephews, Thomas L. Mercer, Jr. (Rebekah), Luke Mercer and Caleb Mercer (Aoi Yasumitsu); her niece Christa Mercer Springstead (David); her great-nephews, Thomas L. Mercer, III and David Bruce Springstead, III; and her friends, John McCabe and Mitch Conrady.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jo Ann's honor, reflecting her love and commitment to her church community.
