It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe James Gresham of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe J Gresham and Evelyn Turner Gresham; his son Daniel Strange; and his granddaughter Harbor Watson. He is survived by: his wife Leann Gresham; his children, Leigh Lightsey (Kamen Lightsey) of Charleston, SC, Turner Watson of Charleston, SC, William Hickerson of Greenville, SC and Ashley Hickerson (Kendra Hickerson) of Chesapeake, VA.; his grandchildren, Cooper, Kaleigh Lightsey, Owen Watson, Ella Strange, Mady Hickerson and Jackson Drucker; and his close friend James McDowell.
