It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Phifer of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on April 15, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Joseph Phifer and Lucy Prevette Phifer; and his sister Trudy Phifer Young. He is survived by: his wife Julia Phifer; his children, Wendy Phifer (Travis Garrett), Will Phifer (Michelle Jeffery), Michael Tucker (Jessica) and Cory DeBose; and his grandchildren, Joey Garrett, Jesse Garrett, Carmen Tucker and Gaby Tucker.
