He was predeceased by: his parents, Johann Schaeffer and Jeanne Hora Siccama; and his brother Philip (Flip). He is survived by: his former wife Sonia Condax; his children, Christopher Schaeffer (Gisele), Peter Schaeffer and Suzanne Cronan (Mark); his wife Bonnie Balfour; his stepchildren, Nicole Paquette and Jason Paquette (Laura); and his grandchildren, Evelyn and William Paquette.
