He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Lawrence; his wife Delma Lawrence; his sons, Clyde Lawrence, Michael Lawrence and Jimmy Lawrence; and his siblings, Raymond Lawrence, Jr., Leon Lawrence, Sr., Frank Lawrence, James Lawrence, William Lawrence, Jesse Mae Funderburkt, Barbara Hinton and Ruth Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Laverene Holmes (Leroy), Connie Jarvis (John), Sharon Jordan, Holly Lawrence-Artis (Garfield), John E. Lawrence, Jr. (Cathy) and Lafayette Lawrence; his daughters-in-law, Janice and Charlene; and his siblings, Marvin Lawrence (Darlene) and Gladys Blow. He is also survived by 3 sister-in-laws; 30 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
