It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Robert Wilson Jr. of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on October 20, 2022, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sandra Sykes Wilson; his parents, John Robert "Bobby" Wilson, Sr. and Lorrell Merricks Wilson of Emporia; his children, Laura Annette Wilson of Harrisonburg and John Robert "Trey" Wilson, III of Harrisonburg; his sister Pamela "Pam" Aerni (Paul) of Emporia; his nephews, Adam Aerni and Ryan Aerni (Amber); his great-niece Kimber Aerni; his aunt Janie Brown of Emporia; and his close friends, Ledford, Lorie Wilson, Mike and Laura Howard. He was also cherished by his family and friends.

Friends are welcome at Sandy's residence anytime during the week and suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Court Street Baptist Church.
