Sandra McCaffety wrote a sympathy message

“I am so sorry to hear of Jon’s passing. We had the pleasure of meeting Jon when we moved to Chesapeake in 2019. Jon befriended our son, Mason and soon Jon, Tommy and Mason became friends. The first of many sleep overs, Jon walked into our home, extended his hand to introduce himself and immediately illuminated the entire room with his beautiful smile! His friendship helped our son get through the tough times of being the new kid in high school. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.”
